Grade 4 did a short activity taking 3 pieces of cut up maps and sticking them to a white background. They then had to test their colour mixing skills to blend the fragments together and create the map of a larger imaginary land. For the simple machines unit, students looked at the mechanics of old style machines and artworks that were made based on industrial machine technology.
