Grade seven have just finished their Portrait Project in Art, in which they studied portraiture throughout art history and various skills and techniques, including the proportions of the face. Grade 9 are currently practicing principles of speed and weight in animation, before embarking on longer animations to present to grade 10 at the end of term. These exciting and excellent examples "Houston We have a Problem" and  "Good Boi's lucky Dai" are by our art star, Alyona!

For the birds unit, students explored the visual qualities of birds, considering line, texture and colour as they tried to draw from observation. we then had a fun activity of making bird masks with cut out coloured paper feathers and with pencil, pen and paint applied. 5th grade worked on an animation project at the end of the year.
