Winners meet the Cosmos 2017

It was the musical highlight of the year: Winners me(e)t the Cosmos. For the fourth time we presented the winners of the “Jugend Musiziert” competition in collaboration with the Landesmusikrat Berlin. This year we are very proud to have our 5th grade student, Navid Askar dubbed as best pianist in the regional level of the competition.

Among the winners from other schools were a percussion group, a cello/contrabass and a clarinet duet, the band “Hirokesen”, and the stunning Latin Jazz singer Eva Swiderski with her grooving accompanist Oskar Bayertz on piano. The winners’ programme was accompanied by our junior band “Sep10ber” and by Alex Segal on clarinet who gave a splendid performance of Tschaikowsky and Latin Jazz as part of his music exam in the International Baccalaureate.

The concert ended under clapping hands and roses with the Winners and Cosmos’ taking their instruments and improvising harmoniously together in a Jam Session.
