KIDS LOVE DESIGN FESTIVAL 2013

15th May, 2013

20 of our students from Grades 5 and up are participating in the KIDS LOVE DESIGN FESTIVAL 2013, hosted internationally in Szczecin, Berlin and Jerusalem.
The festival’s goal is to increase awareness in young designers that every object within their reach has once been designed. On the other hand, the goal is to make young designers aware of the needs and expectations that small users have towards designed objects.

Through an online-led workshop hosted at BCS last week, BCS participants collaborated live with others from Szczecin and Jerusalem.
They shared words and concepts that define their identities, and produced
symbols and patterns that will be weaved into designed wallpapers. The wallpaper
will also contain videos of each young artist, which are generated when viewing the wallpapers through a QR-Reader.
These wallpapers will cover the walls of a COMMON ROOM, an installation
hosted at TRAFO, the new center for contemporary art in Szczecin which our
kids will inaugurate at the opening on Friday 17th of May.
