6th February, 2017

Finn in the eighth grade has achieved 1st Place in the second round of the Mathematical Olympiad, held on the 9th November 2016 at the Max-Planck Gymnasium in Mitte. Ferdinand in the sixth grade also achieved 5th Place. It was a great opportunity to be able to compete with other schools in Berlin-Mitte district and to have students that achieve outstanding results in competitions.

The Mathematical Olympiad is an International competition run every year, where students are given complex mathematical tasks to solve. The competition in Germany is in German, of which there are four rounds. The first round is the school round; this year 30 students took part, of which nine were selected to go forward to the second round. Around two hundred students from Mitte took part in the competition.

Berlin Cosmopolitan School is very proud. Well done, Finn and Ferdinand!
