Grade 4 – Architecture

For the architecture unit, we looked at architectural drawings, paying attention to the symbolic conventions and scale used. Constrained by a fixed floor size, pupils were asked to draw plans for a house they’d like to live in.  They then measured and cut cardboard to make floors, walls, stairs and furniture and assembled a 3d model from their designs.
