Grade 6 begins their local history project

6th June, 2017

On Friday the 2nd of June, each 6th grade class was led on a local history tour of the neighbourhood around BCS, from Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz to Oranienburger Tor, historically known as the Spandauer Vorstadt. The walk, which served as preparation for the students’ ‘Local History Projects’, was led by author and local history buff Paul Scraton.

In addition to pointing out the most interesting sights along the way, he provided the students with some ideas of how to begin their research and tell interesting stories about Berlin’s history. The finished projects will be on display on the third floor of the Berlin Cosmopolitan Schools’ main building from the end of June.
