Field trip to Berlin-Hohenschönhausen Memorial

Berlin Cosmopolitan School students of Grade 9, Ethics class, had the chance to participate in a guided tour through the Stasi-Prison Memorial in Hohenschönhausen. After listening to one of the former inmates of the prison the students could not believe what they have seen and heard.

The guide described and explained the prison conditions and interrogation methods of the former GDR’s Ministry of State Security. He also kindly answered all the questions of the interested students.

A very important field trip, to remember what has happened to thousands of men and women in the former East Germany.
