Grade 3 – Body Systems

For the body systems unit, students glued pasta onto black paper to try to show the human bone structure.

They also worked with newspaper, masking tape and paper mache paste to roll, tape and assemble a human figure. Students then mixed paints to create a skin colour to paint over the newspaper. Finally the various main body organs that they had learnt about in class lessons were formed in 3d using coloured plasticine and placed into the appropriate locations on their figure’s body.
